Make chicken biryani, not so bad at all. Here's a super simple recipe for irresistible chicken biryani:


### Ingredients


#### For the chicken marinade:

Chicken: 500 g; cut into pieces

Yogurt 1 cup

Onions, 2, thinly sliced

Garlic 4 cloves, minced

Ginger. Grate 1-inch piece

Green chilies, 2-3, slit.

Red Chili Powder 1 tsp

Turmeric, powder 1 tsp

Garam Masala, 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Season to taste.

Ingredients

Fresh cilantro leaves and fresh mint leaves, chopped a handful of each

- Juice of 1 lemon


#### For the Rice:

- Basmati rice 2 cups

- 4 c Water

- 2-3 whole cloves

- 2-3 green cardamom pods

- 1 bay leaf

- 1 small stick cinnamon

-Adjunct according to taste.


#### For Layering

Fried onions, store-bought or homemade

More cilantro and fresh mint for garnish


### Instructions


Step 1: marinating the chicken

1 Mix yogurt, garlic, ginger, green chilies, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, salt, lemon juice, and half of chopped cilantro and mint together in a large bowl.

2. Add all the chicken pieces, stir it well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight and preferably full of flavor.

#### Step 2: Preparing the rice

1. Wash basmati rice in cold water several times until water becomes clear. All were soaked 30 minutes; the draught was then sieved.

2 Boil water in a large vessel. Whole spices are clove, cardamom, bay leaf, and cinnamon. Salt is added now. Cook the soaked rice till it's almost done and gives some bite at 70%. Then strain and keep ready.


Step 3. Preparation of the Chicken Prep

1. Oil or ghee is put in a deep, heavy-bottomed pan or the deep pan, sliced onions are added and fried till they are turned golden brown.

2. Introduce the marinated chicken into the pot and warm it. Chicken will remain cooking, stir occasion contents sometimes, and mediate flame until all ingredients are well cooked within the time length of almost 10-15 minutes.
